Advanced Floristry is designed for students who are experienced in the Floral Industry or who have already completed Floral Artistry 101
We’ll be focused on grand scale floral instalments, intricate fashion bouquets & over-the-top floral decoratives!
Each week you will design & take home a drop-dead-gorgeous bouquet & over the four weeks, you’ll work as a team to design outstanding installations such as:
ceiling treatments. larger scale orbs, table-scapes and gorgeous ceremony decor. A different theme will be highlighted each week.
Week one
Enchanted Garden
What an honour and privilege to design this beautiful wedding for a very special bride at Langdon Hall. We’ve been asked to share our secrets on how to create this mostly foliage look.
On this evening, our focus will be grand scale installations. Hope you’re not afraid of a ladder !
Week two
The Roaring Twenties
Can you believe it has been 100 years since the last roaring twenties?
Tonight our design is for a New Years Eve event – paying tribute to this !
Think Great Gatsby or Downton Abbey 1920’s style – glam & glitz !
You’ll design an overflowing arrangement set atop a tall glass vase, flowers designed in trays to set in a tiered tower and other treasures.
The venue we’ll have in mind: Tapestry Hall.
Week three
The Manor House
Think NYC Brownstone !
Flowers for a welcome entrance, an elegant staircase for a Bride’s entrance, a tiny trendy Bride’s Bouquet …
& colour ! But those “mercky” colours – inspired by roses such as: Moab, Coffee, Cappuccino, Amnesia, Quicksand (you get they picture)
Week four
Wild Flowers & Herbs
This is a real trend you want to learn !
Mix wild flowers, dried flowers, & potted herbs (lots of moss too) to create this important trend for 2024.
Having grown up in a rural garden, Elaine is a bit of an expert on dried flowers & herbs – so this class will also include a section on how to dry flowers using various tried and true techniques. You’ll even take home your own set of potted herbs!
Tonight we have Roseville Estates in mind!
