Over the 6 weeks, we will be focusing on festive themes for winter weddings, holiday events & home decor.
You will design (& take home), breath-taking bouquets, our signature over-the-top wreath, a grand statement piece suited for an entry room or gathering place, dining table centrepieces to create amazing tablesscapes, miniatures including hostess gifts & sweet little pieces for wrapping gifts and ending with our gorgeous 10 ft garland !

You will need to purchase your own Florist Scissors – we offer students our Joyce Chen Scissors for $49.99 (reg $65)
week one
Breathtaking Bouquets
Tuesday November 7
6:30 to 9:00 ish
You’ll learn how to select, prepare & condition flowers & Evergreens.
You will start with a Tussy-Mussy (fancy name for a small Flower-girl size bouquet). You’ll learn how to tuck the flowers together “just so”, to create that Pinterest-worthy look!
Having mastered that, you’ll then make 2 more floral bouquets – a traditional Dome-style & an intricate Garden-style (our most popular) one too!
& for that finishing touch – you’ll learn how to French-braid with the seasons trendiest ribbons.

Grand Statement Piece

Now this is GRAND idea ! In a Reproduction Stone “Tulip” Urn you will design an impressive large scale arrangement – amazing centred on a table – also great displayed on a pedestal or on the floor.
All with the seasons best flowers, rosehips, pomegranates, branches, foliage & evergreens.
The gorgeous stone piece was made from an original British Foundry piece – and is elegant. Change it up thoughout the seasons for completely different looks ! You’ll want to treasure this for years !

week four
Centrepieces for Tablescapes

6:30 to 9:00 ish
Get ready to rumble – together, we will be taking in a lot this evening! Flirt bowls, pedestal vases, compotes, bud vases & sweet hand-tied arrangements – we will be covering a lot of territory!
All with the seasons best flowers, berries foliage & greenery – who could resist!
Take home this week: you’ll be creating a floral decorative in your choice of container – to create a “Flirt-bowl” foam-free arrangement (one of Elaine’ s favs) – get out your camera – this is for sure Pinterest-worthy!

Gorgeous Garland

A specialty of the House !
Great for outdoors – or – Jazz up your Fireplace Mantel or Stairway Bannister this festive season with a Gorgeous Garland specially made by you!
You’ll entwine seasonal foliage designed to dry (so no needles dropping mid-holidays). such as: salal, seeded eucalyptus, magnolia, white pine, noble fir, etc.
This Festive Garland is 10ft in length, however if you require it to be longer let Elaine know prior to the workshop for a special price.
Suitable for outdoor or indoor display.
